In the last 1.5 years the geist was able to make us--as in all of us, over the whole world--riot a few times.

BOOM, THAT'S INFINITY!

You're too stoned.

I think I've got an infinite renob

That video depicts much more than "rioting a few times."

unggg... primo riot porn set to an angry anarcho-dubstep track. And with a little poem at the beginning? I came. (Im not being sarcastic, I really enjoyed this)

for real tho. i understand the point of trolling but damn SOMETIMES we gatta just enjoy who we are right???

we are anarchists living in the modern world with a whole history behind us and a whole future ahead.

from chicago; off of the internet and into the streets!

How does a comment praising a video of disconnected, out of context riot glamor shots mesh with a call to get off the internet and take to the streets? Motherfucker, you are watching struggles from other countries and cities on your social media TV. That's antithetical to revolt. I'm not sure whether to tell you to stop preaching or to take your own advice, so you choose.

god will you please stop preaching!

there is no future ahead.

Who is this song by? does anyone have a link to download it?

cyberpunkers - fuck the system

nothing like a good ol' self-fulfilling prophecy

I really liked this. Also I have a PhD in poems so take out the 'and' in the last stanza

I would put 'Hark!' at the very start.

>The ghost of Shakespeare

PHd from where , the government ??? never mind , no need to answer >

that was yummy

Where's god when shit goes down?

dead.

whoops

a dream of walking somnolance where the subtle nuances of day take on the ammused air of the soul...

.....when there isn't the sound of firejets and dystopic rage tearing through a corner in your head

the toroidal flow of transformation

of the all-including spatial-plenum,
continuum of our collective experience

gathers within it what will be understood
in eternally recurrent self-reflection,

the coniunctio-oppositorum, simultaneous recipient of its own projectiles,
ceaselessly spawning its field of dreams

what gathers in nature, gathers in free association.

the city-states of pre-sovereigntist community gather like convection cells within the nonlocal, uncommanded flow.

Western civilization’s sovereigntism, using the head-shrinking tool of analytical science, mentally inverts this natural order and sees the cell as a ‘thing in itself’, as if its behaviour originates locally from its notional centre [inferred by the relational-spatial flow in which it is included]. the leaders that are the eyes of the cell, that reflect the dynamics of the collective they are included in, but do not command them, are replaced by sovereigntist leaders that believe that they are responsible for the dynamics of the cell and thus seek to jumpstart, from their own views, the dynamics of the cell as if it were a local ‘thing-in-itself’ driven and directed from its own interior.

Free association is forced to give way, by western civilization with its over-extended application of the mind-shrinking tool of analytical science, to the centrally commanded associations of notional ‘things-in-themselves’ with their notional internal process driven and directed development and behaviour.

The flow of free association ‘disappears’ from the mental playing fields of scientific thinkers who confuse the models of science for 'physical reality', and the entire world dynamic is artificially restarted on the western civilizatoin mental viewing screens, from the cells in the flow-now-made-over-into-cells-in-themselves.

Not only the cities and villages, the web of cells that have formed by free association are hijacked by scientific/analytic thinking and made over into ‘sovereign states’, but so it is with all dynamic forms, including 'organisms' and 'human beings'. all become understood as self-starting mechanical entities, driven and directed from their internal processes and parts. space becomes ‘nothing’ in this view, nothing other than an absolute fixed, empty and infinite operating theatre to serve the notional self-starting antics of a countless collective of independently existing objects and organisms, organisms such as humans that must search for their own internal directorship and deliberately and self-consciously shape their own development and behaviour. the natural forces of free-association are trodden over and trashed in this approach. tuning in to our own unique situational inclusion in the continuously unfolding world dynamic and heeding the call to take our place in the natural scheme of things, the way of free associations, is cast aside as we build a scientific analytical plan to shape our development and guide our behaviour from the scientific/analytical processes inside of our head.

As it is for the individual and the state in western civilization, so it is for everything in the world seen through the lenses of analytical scientific inquiry. Free association is continually being replaced by local, central direction, at all levels, ... Western civilization, which uses the tool of scientific analysis to mentally create ‘things-in-themselves’ with local centre-directed development and behaviour, ... out of free association based [field-flow-based] dynamic forms (cities, cells, organisms) is in the process of converting the world into one gigantic centrally-directed machine.

the problem is not with the control freak behaviours of sovereigntist governments and their police and military, ... the problem is with the delusion in which children born into western civilization are indoctrinated and which many never escape from, a delusion based on confusing analytical science for physical reality [Mach].

an understanding of battles going on around the world is only on this simple analytical science basis understood in terms of 'us' machines versus 'them' machines. the source of the conflict is the delusion that comes from inverting the dynamic forms of free association, and making them over, on the grounds of their apparent 'localness', 'visibleness' and 'material-ness' into 'things-in-themselves' notionally directed out of their own internal processes and components; i.e. making them out to be machines.

analytical sciences have thus become 'cargo-cult' science. science that looks at the dynamic cells of free-association and re-casts them as local 'things-in-themselves', and then tries to reproduce them according to this over-simplification that is analytical sciences. as Nietzsche, Mach, Poincare and others have said, the free association process is the coniunctio of outside-inward influence [endosmosis, the flow of nurturance] and inside-outward asserting infuence [exosmosis], while western scientific civilization ignores the nurturing influence of the energy-charged spatial plenum and gives attribution in its entirety to the inside-outwards asserting aspect, because it appears to be 'local, 'visible' and 'material' while the outside-inward influencing flow of nurturance is, as field-flows are, 'nonlocal' [everywhere at the same time, like gravity field], non-visible [purely relational in a spatial sense] and non-material [field flow spawns matter as resonance structures within the field flow].

the battle is not 'us' versus 'them' but it is a battle to recover from the plague of delusion that permeates western civilization by its confusing of the representations of scientific analysis for 'physical reality' [Mach]

emile's bottom-line delusion is idealism. That is, he errs in seeing the main problem
as being what's in our heads. It isn't that some or even much of what he writes is false, it's that
its focus is misplaced. Reality (e.g. historical institutions) comes first, misunderstanding/delusions come secondarily. Not the other way around, to
put it simplistically. e. stays firmly only on the plane of mistaken thinking and ignores what is more basic. The fixation with Mach really helps give it away.

Actually he's already working from your riefication model and has then began theorising about the social, institional and psychological forces and conditionings which imbue Western identity with these deluded traits. You should read more Emile.

*reification

I don't know about commanding someone to read more Emile (sounds like a giant time waster), but I think Emile's emphasis on 'flow' and 'forces' is somewhat like Capitalism and Schizophrenia (which I doubt he's read). HOWEVER... D&G's opus is much more informative, less repetitive and not built solely on interpretations of a particular philosophy of science.

The first anon commenter has an excellent point about Emile - he doesn't do anything with existing institutions beyond changing his mind about how to define them. He doesn't distinguish one institution from another and states they are all 'forces' and 'flows' of the same stuff. How is this helpful to the reality one experiences? Most of what Emile does is pump out escapist text that fails to point us in any direction except 'inward'. He is a psychologist, but isn't there much more to life than psychological games? In this regard, anon in is correct, in my view, that his focus is misplaced. That is, there is reality, first, and its psychological representation, second. Emile begins with HIS psychological representation first and forces the reality he sees into it. Essentially, he is every bit the "deed-doer" that he wishes he wasn't. And a fantastically deluded one at that!

The first anon says ---

"emile's bottom-line delusion is idealism.
The fixation with Mach really helps give it away."

Oh well, it's another 'which came first' argument! Well here goes!
So anon 1 states that 'idealism' is a delusion and that he therefore errs because he lacks a psychological perspective i.e. correct focus; yet states that his fixation with Mach verifies this mistaken thinking and an avoidance of 'what is more basic'!!! Whatever the hell that is or how it could not be less complicated than Mach's gestalt concept in approaching a metaphysically unified form, rather than an infinite molecularism of unrelated and alienated subjectivities I do not know?. Mach's perception of a time/space reality holistically can be best analogized with the hearing of a musical melody, that the melody is the whole form, and played at a different key is still the same melody, yet all the individual notes are different. The melody is the gestalt reality, how can it originate 'flowing out' of institutions, which emerge out of the bourgeois organisation of social functions as control mechanisms FROM the 'flowing in' of ideologically reified subjectivities? So in a way, as anon 1 admitted, " It isn't that some or even much of what he writes is false," it's just that defining institutions is passé, we all know what they are doing and what they are. As to being always contemplating 'inward', you say that most of what Emile does is pump out escapist text that fails to point us in any direction except 'inward', and I quote you --" He is a psychologist, but isn't there much more to life than psychological games?" Gasp!! Here we have it!! You obviously enjoy your FNB and letting your solely physical instinctual desires run rampant over everything and everyone! You have inverted Emile's comment sooo much that I think there is muscle tissue in your head, and a melody is something you fornicate to!

You have inverted Emile's comment sooo much that I think there is muscle tissue in your head, and a melody is something you fornicate to!

Dionysus then, yes, that's me... and I'm tired of psychologists like Nietzsche and Emile trying to co-opt my identity because of their egotistical desires.

Well, enjoy your wine and try not to be too oppressive. I am more an Apollo type, cerebral and quite boring company actually. I do snap sometimes on tequila though!.

Mach's perception of a time/space reality holistically can be best analogized with the hearing of a musical melody, that the melody is the whole form, and played at a different key is still the same melody, yet all the individual notes are different.

who or what produces that melody? does that melody 'exist more' as sound or as a symbolic representation written on staff paper? isn't the notion of a 'key' representative of a hierarchical institution built from the systematization of pitches? what about the time/space between the notes that define the phrasing of the melody? can you adjust those, but not the pitches, and still have the same melody?

i don't buy the analogy that pitch modulation represents mach, or any, perception of time and space. it seems to miss something very important. most importantly, the idea of 'melody' orders time and space. it becomes a uniquely human internalized representation of sound. physical reality exists before humans internalize it and systematize it into a model of itself. neither mach nor emile can escape this psychological modeling of reality. that, in a nutshell, is the problem with emile's project of relationalist hoo-hah. he will never escape the fact that he is struggling to re-present the present. he is caught up in his own mind which is swirling with quotes from philosophers of science.

If we could ask a whip-poor-will these questions? Music theory does associate the combination of certain sounds with human moods, as for melodies, they can be altered by varying the pitch and phrasing. Between the Gregorian chant and the imperialist military marching songs there exists anarchist music, it's not a cacophonic madness or frenzy as if in transition, it possesses a pure beat and melodic earthyness, it spontaneously erupts out of those without fear of any authority, or any pretensions about having more power.

",,,isn't the notion of a 'key' representative of a hierarchical institution built from the systematization of pitches? "
I have trouble with this because I think tone and harmony are innate sensual perceptions. Some hunter-gatherers have string instruments fretted to enable different key/pitch, and flutes which merely use the length. That's the beauty of music, the universal language.

Well sure, maybe more quotes from philosophers of the human soul would balance out the overwhelming scientific perspective that dominates Emile's comments, nevertheless, he does hit the nail on the head occassionally, I'll give him 10/10 for trying.

I think holystic analysis has its uses more in biological fields such as used in Lovelock's Gaia theory. Gestalt psychology I think could be helpful in dismantling complex reflexive behavior patterns, but going out into the woods and not working can do alot of cleansing. But I'm no shrink, I just know that capitalist society is making a whole lot of nasty brainwaves.

Do you really think that is wise ?

anon 16:00 captures the intended message.

‘what is more basic?’ is certainly the issue, but anon 12:51 gets things upside down with his/her reference to ‘historical institutions’ as being ‘primary’;

“Reality (e.g. historical institutions) comes first, misunderstanding/delusions come secondarily. Not the other way around, to put it simplistically. e. stays firmly only on the plane of mistaken thinking and ignores what is more basic. The fixation with Mach really helps give it away.”

Mach’s ‘gestalt psychology’ brought out the fact that dynamics involve dynamic figures within a dynamic ground, as with convection cells [figures] within flow [ground]. e.g. sources of nurturance in the dynamic ground [the space on the surface of the earth] orchestrate the gathering of people in ‘clusters’ called villages or cities [dynamic figures], in the manner that ants are attracted to drops of honey. in the mind of the visual observer, who cannot get ‘everything in the world’ into his view-frame at the same time, these clusters are ‘things-in-themselves’ that ‘grow’ and ‘shrink’ with the passage of time [e.g. with the rise and fall of nurturing opportunities or jobs]. however, the ‘growth’ and ‘shrinkage’ over ‘the passage of time’ is ‘illusion’ that we substitute for the PHYSICAL REALITY which is the transformation of relations between ‘figure-and-ground’ aka ‘inhabitants’ and ‘habitat’, as given by Mach’s principle.

in other words, the ‘historical view’, that cities A, B and C are things-in-themselves that grow and shrink ‘as time passes’ is illusion, born of discursive convenience and supported by the power of words/language. all historical scenarios are illusion. to the pragmatist-idealist [Mach, Poincaré, Nietzsche, Schroedinger], historical scenarizing [the view of change in terms of ‘things changing’ over time] is useful, but not to be confused for PHYSICAL REALITY which is transformation of figure-ground or inhabitant-habitat relations. to the 'realist', the default psychological type cultivated in Western civilization, the historical scenarios are mistakenly taken to be PHYSICALLY REAL.

‘change’ in terms of ‘the changing of things’ with ‘the passage of time’ is an over-simplistic substitute scenario for the PHYSICAL REALITY of relational transformation. ‘the changing of things with the passage of time’ is a way of ‘re-rendering’ the dynamic world of our experience which takes us, in our heads, OUTSIDE of the world we are observing. e.g. the claim that ‘the universe is expanding with the passage of time’ is a reification of the space we are included in, and such a claim could only be validated by getting outside of the universe with our absolute measuring rod and absolute timing clock. historical scenarizing [seeing ‘change’ in terms of ‘things-changing-over-time’, in general, involves the psychology of removing ourselves [dynamic figures] from relational inclusion in the dynamic ground we are observing. when we move from city A to city B, the PHYSICAL REALITY is that we are changing the web of habitat-inhabitant relations we are included in. however, the view in terms of change of things over time; i.e. ‘city A is shrinking and city B is growing’ is illusion. it is the ‘euclidian flatspace’ view which artificially splits apart dynamic figures from dynamic ground.

imputing thing-in-itselfness to clusters of people leads to central control driven and directed organizing and stymies organization by free association; i.e. the psychology of 'realism' leads us to live our lives in a command-and-control dictated way based on 'appearances' rather than attuning to our real-life experience of inclusion in a relational dynamic.

goddamn i thought they were done putting out bs
