He is well known for his book, "Anarchy Alive!: Anti-Authoritarian Politics from Practice to Theory" and his work with Anarchists Against the Wall. On October 20th, in the prison of Bancali (Sardinia), Alfredo Cospito began an all-out hunger strike against the 41 bis regime and life sentence without parole. The regime 41 bis was assigned to him from May this year, being accused of maintaining relations through correspondence and editorial activity with the anarchist movement through public writings and interventions from the Maximum Security section where he had been locked up for years.

In the early hours of 31 October, we set fire to a van belonging to the GA-Tec company. This company for building and facilities management technology is 100% owned by the Sodexo group and runs prisons itself (in England and Chile) and is a big profiteer of the prison industry. The van burnt out in the Lichtenberg district, where a number of cars have been burnt recently.

Despite widespread reports of voter suppression and vote buying, right-wing incumbent, Jair Bolsonaro, has lost by a narrow margin to neoliberal centrist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva better known as Lula. Bolsonaro supporters are taking the news particularly poorly and have attempted to shut down the country but have been faced with fierce resistance from Brazil’s working class, antifascists and football ultras.
