Wrapping up COP30: A CCLA Assessment

From Centro de Cultura Libertária Amazônia

A few days ago, the UN summit on climate change and solutions to address the problems generated by the acceleration of these changes ended with a "minimal agreement" far short of the expectations of even the most pessimistic observers. In fact, as anarchists and libertarians, we couldn't, even before it began, expect much from a meeting that, over the years, has failed to curb capitalist greed in the slightest...

TOTW: Anarchism, Culture, and the Nation

A core principle of anarchism is rejection of nationalism. The view is derived from the principle that nationalism is a false ideology that divides the working classes or suppresses individual expression. But it is easier to levy critiques of dominant nations than oppressed ones. This question is not as irrelevant as many assume: it is dismissed as “it isn’t the 60s anymore” and “irrelevant for anarchists.” Palestine, Ireland, North American Land Back, Euskadi, and other movements for liberation continue. Palestine is obviously the most prominent and anarchists cannot afford to ignore it, whether from a revolutionary practice or a purely analytical perspective. But despite that, anarchists cannot just “go along” with the popular ideas of the times and must think for themselves. How can we engage in these struggles while also being honest about the logical outcome of nationalism, i.e. new states?

Back to Basics: 325 and the Renewed Critique of Technological Civilisation

From Global Network on Extremism and Technology by Mauro Lubrano

This Insight examines the return of 325, an insurrectionary anarchist zine, and the renewed prominence of anti-technology positions in its 13th issue, titled “Back to Basics.” This 76-page-long document, originally released in March 2025 with the PDF online version circulating later in September, articulates a worldview that regards advanced technologies not as neutral tools but as a totalising system of domination, a “mega-machine” that both enslaves and alienates. This framing has increasingly tangible consequences as similar narratives appear in communiqués claiming attacks on technology-related infrastructure and supply chains. The current trajectory of insurrectionary anarchist anti-tech discourse and practice reflects a deeper unease with the accelerating pace of technological change that intersects with pre-existing anarchist, primitivist, and eco-extremist traditions.

On repression for the weekend, 14th–16th November 2025 in Hamburg

From Act for Freedom Now!

Last weekend, 14th–16th November 2025, anarchists from different countries met for the second time for an international exchange to analyze, debate, and develop anti-militarist struggles. Contributions in person, via video, and in writing from comrades in the UK, Greece, Israel/Palestine, Italy, France, Finland, and Germany were presented. As we can easily understand, the enemies of freedom and their dogs are surely not fond of an international moment like this. Besides surveillance around our meeting, we want to make one incident known:

Text by Anarchist Charisis Foivos and Z.K.

From Act for Freedom Now! - Athens, Greece

The purpose of this text is to inform the wider public about the stifling surveillance we have been subjected to by the “anti-terrorist” service over the last two months. However, it also serves as a clear warning that, one way or another, this blatant and intense violation of our personal lives and privacy will no longer be tolerated. Starting from the premise that in the public arena, priority should be given to fighters whose situation is far worse than ours, such as the dozens of political prisoners, the hundreds of persecuted men and women, the thousands beaten by the forced of repression, which in our country operate as gangs that leave battered people in their wake, we chose not to publicize our case until now.

A-Barrio: Evaluation Text from Berlin Assembly

From Anarchist Barrio

In the context of the Rheinmetall Entwaffnen (RME) antimilitarist action camp in Cologne 2025, an open assembly came together in Berlin to organise an Anarchist Barrio in the camp. After the camp, people from the Berlin assembly who participated in the A-Barrio discussed their perspectives and experiences of the camp at evaluation meetings. This following text aims to summarize those discussions but as well support them to go deeper.

Statement from Russian-speaking anarchists to Western anarchist initiatives: listen to the Ukrainian comrades!

This text is a collective statement of Russian-speaking anarchist collectives (see the list of signatories below). It should have been published even earlier, but now it’s really the time for a consolidated statement about the war in Ukraine. We do not claim to represent the stance of each and every anarchist from Russia, but the need for a clear position, and contradictions associated with the war in Ukraine lead to the necessity to act as a united movement.

Anarchist Political Prisoner Dimitris Chatzivasieliadis Solidarity Message For Prisoner Anan Yaeesh

from abolition media

On November 28 2025, the Palestinian activist Anan Yaeesh, who was a political prisoner in occupied Palestine, will be tried by the Italian state. He is accused, without evidence, of collaborating with the Tulkarm Brigades (West Bank), an organisation linked to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group of Fateh that resists the occupation. The EU is fighting on the front lines of the Zionist occupation with all means at its disposal. Comrade Anan stated: “You want me to defend myself against the accusations against me, but I am ashamed to seek acquittal on charges that, for me, represent a source of honor. I do not want to defend myself against the accusation of having rights and having claimed them, or of having tried to liberate my people and my country from colonial oppression. I swear that I have no intention of being acquitted of the legitimate resistance against the Zionist occupation. The Palestinian resistance is one of the noblest phenomena known to history”.

Statement on the ban from the Anarchist Book Fair Amsterdam 2025 by OVS

From forumvooranarchisme

Initially, we had no intention of making a statement or writing about the circumstances surrounding the ban of our new organisation Organisatie v. Vrij Socialisme (OVS) from Anarchist Book Fair Amsterdam 2025. However, as people approached us for more information, we decided it would be helpful to offer some clarification for other anarchists close to us and to prevent misunderstanding.
