Permanent subsistence zones are an option or embedding oneself in a habitat...I.e., rediscovering our kinship with nature or at the least the natural environment in which we live. If you understand your habitat you probably have a pantry, energy supplies, etc. There are survival skills and there is sensual wisdom - deep knowledge of your specific habitat. Having both of these offers resilience without relying on states or even storehouses necessarily.
