capitalism over the past couple hundred years has been dominated by class boundaries, yet as of recently those boundaries have become more vague. There are still people who have millions and billions of dollars and don't share it without some practical position-enhancing reason. And you also point out that reverse-classism is a pretty big thing, especially with the people who are always talking about "privledge". Yeah, privilege is real, but it isn't big bad whitey vs. POC warriors like a lot seems to still believe. It really bothers people in the U.S. that social welfare benefits are often based on race, like if you're "african american" you have access to some things. A lot of middle easterners can't get those same types of rewards. My dad was always a big supporter of affirmative action, but it seemed to make white people more racist and the country isn't any less segregated and fucked up after we've seen decades of attempts to level the playing field based on past things that slave drivers have done.
It seems like the rich white people have just gotten better at pretending like they aren't racist or something! Idk, i wish i understood the way people think a little better.
