Movements are just movement, and the Movement is just... movements. When they go beyond that, they become this imagined community that just exists on paper, and hopefully through oral tradition, while people are getting busy (or not busy) at other things. Such is the so-called "student movement".

But when it equates to "people actually doing shit oriented towards a common something", a movement is a great thing. Sadly over the years, it become more or less equated with these robotic processions in the streets. So basically it's just public dances, but way boring, predictable public dances with sometimes edgy slogans on banners as the only "wild" content.

Of course they don't have to be all that boring, and when they started in Medieval Europe they appeared to be pretty fun, riotous bouts of collective sentiment and resentiment. Also I've known one memorable "naked march" back in 2012 that was bordering on collective greatness, tho it was still civilized, no sudden bouts of open sensual loving n shit... but close. I guess it would have required mass distribution of ecstasy... which wasn't very expectable from zoomer students. So sad we need those brain crutches these days just to partially evade the Existent.

"...but close" pretty much encapsulates how our efforts have been up until now.

Anyways... always good to share memories with randos here. Good memories are good, free, drug-less way to cope with the despotism of time and death.
