Ah yes, you’re right, it’s more of a “false friend“ in this situation in English. In Spanish it conserves the two meanings, as well as adding a third, meaning “a tuxedo” as well. Another similar/near word that is not sufficient is “ticket”, referring to a paper card, or cardboard square, that’s similar in a way to a “tag” or a “label”, and all three may also be used as similar yet distinct verbs.
