1. The ego it takes to predict the future in such depth.

2. What world are the ppl calling for a general strike (on the basis of a disputed election) living in? If ppl in a certain workplace care enough about the election, what makes you think they would all be democrats? More likely, I could see a liberal restaurant owner closing down for a symbolic day, but this is not a strike.

3. “Centering anti-racism... gives us more possibilities of linking up with an international movement.” What? This is the smartest thinker in the anarchist movement today (lol)? This is someone looking through their cool American sunglasses. The world is large and complex, but I think if anything can generate solidarity the world over (N. Korea notwithstanding) it would be our resistance to our capitalist exploitation. Such a worldly man fails to understand the world.

4. In some places anarchists are bold enough to boycott elections or even storm polling places and burn ballots in the streets. Such is the sad state of the anarchist movement today, that to suggest such a thing might get you called a fascist by other anarchists. Not too long ago, I remember when anarchists had no problem attacking conventions and offices of both parties, not because of politics, but because it was a spectacle! Now the only spectacle anarchists see is Trump’s media shenanigans- and even that they take too seriously!

5. I guess the anti-political anarchists in this country are too defeated and fractured- and intimidated by the IGD-Crimethinc-Submedia-Gelderloos juggernaut- to dare raise our voices in this environment. That juggernaut of colleagues will do to us what they accuse the Democratic Party of doing to them- drown them out with idiocy, superior resources, and social clout.
