You realize the internet was invented on the premise that social space had been literally nuked?

It was envisioned as a military tool for assholes to communicate post-nuclear apocalypse.

The phony techno Utopian angle came way later when they thought they could re-imagine it as some bullshit anarchist tool of virtual desire. And people have been slamming it since then.

The only "anarchy" that applies is if you use mental gymnastics about how you can re-purpose it. But even then, the entire infrastructure, "man" hours, and exploitation to get the internet up and running is ridiculous in scale.

I really don't understand how anarchists like this still exist. It's one thing to use the shit because you're trapped in an Age of Hypocrisy that you can't immediately escape. It's another to claim these tools of capital as "anarchist" while being embedded within, and codependent on, the massive techno innovation framework of industrial capitalism.

All of your steps forward in "new activism" depend on capitalisms rolling over the planet further.

Very curious how archaic a lot of garden variety anarchists are in terms of critique.
