I don't know why people only focus on the front line. If we only focus on the front line, as in the Spanish Civil War, it is likely to lead to a wrong focus. There is no denying that fighting is important. But fighting is not just on the front line - it's a by-product of the war machine. Strategy must have its depth. Ideological and cultural struggles are also important. I'm not a Maoist, but I appreciate "the joy of fighting" (I don't know how to translate it).
