Can you admit you were wrong now? The British called this territory "Quebec" between the Conquest and 1791. The territory was much larger and more vaguely defined. This was all addressed in the text to a sufficient degree, I think, considering this was not the central topic.

also, "Westminster-administered polity" = a colony controlled by agents loyal to the Westminster parliament in England, i.e. the case from 1760, til whichever arguable date (1867 to 1982) that you can argue Canada became "independent" of the British Empire
