Anarchist Agitprop For A New Year

From The Transmetropolitan Review

To celebrate the new decade, the Cinema Committee happily releases these three short videos reflecting on the past year of resistance. We hope our modest efforts inspire other anarchists to create their own media, of any variety. Media is no substitute for acting in real life with others, but it’s also a vital ingredient in any struggle. In the dead time of capitalist normality, download video editing software, buy a cheap printer, stock up on paint, or make cauldrons of wheat-paste to put up posters. None of it will be a waste of time. All of it will matter. Tag the cities with rebellious phrases, flood the internet with subversive images, and paste up those words and images that inspire you.

We wish our comrades good luck for 2020. This past year cracked the future wide open, a process that will only accelerate in the coming months, and the new world in our hearts is fast approaching. Get ready.

Only spices up society for a while.

In other news, here's my communiqué:

"The other night, I dumpstered plenty of good snacks from the local supermarket, put then ïnto boxes and left it by the sidewalk of a lumpen neighboorhood, nearby a busy bus stop and shops. Wrote my best wishes for 2020 on the boxes along with a visible @ sign. Of course this small modest attack against mass consumerism won't bring down its bullshit money system that enslaves anyone passing by to their daily wage slavery, yet it'll bring a bit of joy in their daily routines, prevent them from buying crap for their lunch time, while giving the tacit message that humanity's not entirely dead and subjected to the regime, and that this mysterious @ sign could have something to do with this... as it is representing a rather controversial form of political negation which might bring them, indeed, something good to put on their plates. Signed, some anarchist?"

Which spectacle activists care doing something of the likes? Obviously, none. As they are the cadre and intelligentsia always busying themselves shouting orders or telling people how to think, all the while having jack shit to offer to them.

Morale of the story: it's the little things that matter.
