From 2.Dh5
The annual 2.Dh5 festival returns to Amsterdam at the Ru Paré for its eighteenth edition from 23rd to 25th February 2024.
2.Dh5 is an annual festival for the exchange of radical ideas, strategies and practices by grassroots groups, collective projects and direct action campaigns in the Netherlands and beyond.
This year the urgency of international solidarity is more clear than ever. Join hundreds of others to learn and unlearn, and recognising intersections, contribute to each others’ struggles. Let’s build towards a new and better world based on freedom and solidarity within and across borders.
¡Everything for everyone, nothing for ourselves!
The festival runs off of volunteer labour, a barebones budget, and an abiding communal desire for non-professional, autonomous and extra-institutional political space grounded in our local conditions and struggles.
Find any affinity in these commitments? Need to level up your mutual aid? Do you live for anti-authoritarian logistics? Are incredibly attractive people with excellent politics kind of your thing, too? Then check out some of the ways you can get involved in this year’s festival & let us know how you’d like to contribute!
Come to the festival with your stand! If you would like to share things you make, be it books, zines, soaps, DIY objects, or anything else, you can reach out to us for table space.
2.Dh5 is a grass-roots participatory festival. If you have an idea for a workshop, panel-discussion, screening, art project or anything else, we’d love to hear from you.

ASEED Europe – Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment and Diversity
ASEED (Action for Sustainability, Environment, Equality and Diversity) is a small grassroots organization that fights against the structural causes of environmental destruction and social injustice, particularly in relation to agriculture and food systems. Our mission is to advocate for alternative, sustainable, and fair food production, while collaborating with activists, small-scale farmers, grassroots collectives, and other groups working on social and environmental justice. Our current campaign, Fossil Free Agriculture, focuses on the dependance of the industrial food system on the fossil fuel industry, specifically focusing on fossil gas. We campaign against agrochemical corporations, and more specifically Europe's biggest fertilizer company Yara, who is among the highest industrial consumers of fossil gas in Europe and who creates and strengthens exploitative neocolonial dependencies in our current food system.

International socialists / Leeslinks
LeesLinks is the bookstore of the International Socialists. We have set up this store/webshop as a service to our sympathizers and the broader movement. Through LeesLinks we try to spread our ideas about socialism from below and the need for international solidarity.
We have been selling brochures from our own publications and books from international publishers such as Bookmarks, Verso and Haymarket for more than twenty years. Sales take place during the annual Marxism Festival, large public meetings and demonstrations, but also increasingly online. In this way we try to support social movements and stimulate a culture of political discussion and debate.

via negativa
via negativa, or apophatic theology, refers to the practice of approaching God by way of negation, speaking only in terms of what he is not, for he cannot be positively defined. we appropriate these words and apply them to anarchy, the idea of which, to us at least, is perfectly described by their meaning: 'negative way'. we seek to publish and distribute works that illuminate the path of negation, and perhaps inspire you to walk it too. our own publications are offered in small print, large print and braille—all on donation.

Horeca United
Working in the catering industry is no fun. Bosses and entrepreneurs tell us that this is normal. It just has to suit you, it has to be your passion. Hospitality is not a profession, but a calling. “One team, one task,” they shout. But that team is always understaffed and the tasks are endless. Once you get to work, you don't get a second to breathe. There are many reasons why a new trade union for the catering industry is desperately needed.
That is why we started Horeca United. A 'grassroots' union, this means a self-organized union for and by workers from the catering industry. No leaders and bureaucrats, no administrators. Membership is free and meetings are open to everyone, we always make decisions together.
Do you have a problem at work? Together with you, we plan immediate actions and put pressure on your boss until you get what you are entitled to. Solidarity is our strength, and we have enough knowledge in our network to know all the rules and methods.
Unlike large unions, we stand up for you in individual conflict situations. Because we were founded from the Vloerwerk solidarity network, we know that what we do works. Just look at the Radical Riders , which were also founded by Vloerwerkers. Within a short time they are now sitting at the big negotiating tables and winning countless conflicts.
Are you also tired of the oppression by catering bosses and does this way of working appeal to you? Join Horeca United, you are very welcome to fight alongside us!

The Free Market Worker's Co-op
Our products (coffee, espresso, pasta, wine, soap, olive oil) all come from workers' and small farmers' cooperatives. No bosses and shareholders here, but freedom for the makers to decide for themselves. Fairtrade is nice, but we go much further. This way, the workers have control over their work and decide how the proceeds are used. This not only means higher quality, but also more solidarity and a better environment!

SSW Frayed edge
ZZW Rafelrand is a new student mobilization and resistance group aiming to protect the patchwork of communities living and creating in one of the last frayed edges of Amsterdam East, on Zeeburgereiland. Since September 2023, they organize skillshares, solidarity VoKus, creative events/workshops in order to raise awareness of the upcoming eviction and to weave networks of solidarity within the movement with groups fighting the housing crisis and the precarity of (student) housing.
Having existed for 20 years now, the ZZW student community has always been a place that welcomed everyone who wished to create, play, dance, to be creative and to experiment in, what has in many ways become, an autonomous space. It serves as a point of safety, refuge for many, it's a community in its most authentic, green, wild, and sometimes messy and chaotic form.
In 2024, the whole student terrain and all the communities around will be demolished to make space for a 'modern neighbourhood': the housing monster is threatening to swallow yet another 'frayed edge' with all its freedom and creativity. ZZW Rafelrand is here to fight for their community! More than ever, they open their home this year for everyone to join their events, to share ideas, to seek support and to fight the housing monster together.
