Claim of the Attack on the Amarousiou Tax Office

"LET’S BECOME (as cops and judges believe) “SUSPECTED OF COMMITTING NEW CRIMES” Immediate release of the anarchist hunger striker Giannis Michailidis. Individuals from the known space."

On 07/07/2022 at 04.00 we carried out a symbolic bombing with two kilos of explosive material at the Maroussi Tax Office in solidarity with the hunger-striking anarchist Giannis Michailidis, who has been on hunger strike since 05/23/2022. However, there is also silence on this issue, with very little reporting. The fact that the «opposition» and «journalism» follow orders and comply with agreements has reached a new level in recent years, with the deliberate concealment of facts or their distortion. The omertà that prevails in the public discourse is, on the one hand, a requirement to deal harshly with the hunger striker and, on the other hand, it forces us to improve our means.

Start of a hungerstrike of the imprisoned D. Chatzivasiliadis

Full original title: Freedom to G.Michailidis - Start of a hungerstrike of the imprisoned D. Chatzivasiliadis

Imprisoned comrade Dimitris Chatzivasiliadis started today a hunger strike in solidarity with hunger striker Giannis Michailidis. Anarchist G. Michailidis has been on hunger strike since 23/5 to demand his legitimate release from prison. He is already on his 51st day with the risk of permanent damage to his health. In this circumstance, the judicial authorities are prolonging the torture of Giannis since, to date, the prosecutor has not made any recommendation on the demands of the hunger striker.

EPISY Attacked

ATTACK!

Full original title: Athens, Greece: Attack upon the offices of University Research Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (EPISY) for their involvement in assisting the investigation of cops and the army (National Technical Univeristy of Athens)

For all these reasons we chose to attack the offices of EPISY, inside Polytechnic City, at dawn on Saturday 25/6. Breaking through the security shutters, we used paint and fire extinguishers to cause material damage inside the building, where there are computers. This minimal reaction was only the beginning of a wave of sabotage actions against those university institutions involved in investigations of cops and the army.

Update from the march against the release of Alexis Grigoropoulos' murderer

I get it, but "march against the release" does not have a nice ring to it for anarchists. FTP, FTTP.

On Tuesday 5 July a rally was called against the release of Korkoneas. The meeting was called at 20.00 at the intersection of Messolongiou and Tzavella. The response of the people was quite large, and it was decided to hold a march through the streets of Exarchia. The pulse was strong from start to finish, and slogans were constantly shouted, with the aim of demonstrating that “justice” is clearly class-based: On the one hand, it releases the cop-killer of Alexandros, by decision of the Lamia Court of Appeal, the same court of appeal that on the other hand deprives the anarchist hunger striker from 23/5, Giannis Michailidis, of his freedom.

The Modern Urban Form as a Capitalist Construct

"There are no cities, no cities to love..." - Sleater Kinney

Understanding it as a specific structural process of capitalism and not a historical inevitability allows an exercise of counterfactual imagination in which we ask concerning urban form, if not the actual history of capitalism, then what can be imagined in its place? This exercise provides at every turn a grounded default projection, a human pattern with a wide application and a long history, rooted in the realities of human stride and stamina: not “anyone’s guess.” It is wholly baseless to assume as a default, absent specific design to the contrary, the persistence of the capitalist city in an anarchist future.

Communique From the Heather Heyer Brigade

We can no longer be on the defensive, but should act to be on the offensive in the name of Heather Heyer, who must not have died in vain. We will fight back. We call on antifascists, communists, anarchists, union members, progressives, liberals, people of color, queer people, religious minorities, and all other parties who face extermination by the fascists to strike directly.

Labcorp and Pub Rat Traps Sabotaged

ATTACK!

Full original title: ACTIVISTS SABOTAGE NEW LABCORP BUILDING AND DESTROY RAT TRAPS AT A NEARBY PUB.

With news of the five beagles liberated recently from MBR Acres filling us with joy, we set out to express our rage and send a message that even the family-friendly public-facing arm of vivisection isn’t welcome. We headed to the site and found it all but deserted, sneaking past the poorly fitted fencing until we were surrounded by machinery and rubble. Padlocks to the site and doors on construction machinery were glued shut, an assessment of the current interior layout was taken and as we saw a flash of hi-vis patrolling a chunk of metal was thrown through a main window, and we ran. After getting out of the area, we made a quick pitstop at a pub: not for a pint, but to hear the sound of cracking plastic underfoot as barbaric rat traps were destroyed and poison removed.

Spasm of solidarity with G. Michailidis

ATTACK!

On Sunday night 25/6, we attacked the luxury apartments HESTIA and the company Grivas/Integrated IT Solutions by breaking their windows on Alexandra Avenue.

Since 23/05 the anarchist political prisoner G. Michailidis is on hunger strike from 23.23.2005. His request is his formal release from the cells of bourgeois democracy, as he has served all the formalities set by their laws. Nevertheless, in his person the state is taking revenge for his steadfast attitude of struggle, his continuation of the struggle, his choice of escape and “illegality” far from capitulating to the regime. Thus, it keeps him in prison indefinitely, activating the dreaming of the statists, i.e. the police of thought and the possible commission of new offences.

The Exarcheia Riots of June 25: background and thoughts

pic from the june 25 riots in exarcheia

Why speak when you can be silent? and yet, since the sexy videos of the riots that took place in Exarcheia on Saturday, June 25 have gained a lot of views, the English-speaking audience might benefit from some context. What follows is my account of that night, from the perspective of a neighborhood resident, anarchist, etc.

At the forefront of Korean anarcho-syndicalism in 2022

From Libcom.org

Continuing the protest last week, we headed back to Geoje once more. Although there were ups and downs, in the end, on July 2nd, the workers in Yeongnam workers protest decided to head to the direction of the subcontracted workers of Daewoo Shipbuilding(DSME) in Geoje in solidarity. Before heading to Geoje, on Thursday, June 30, after taking part on the Sejong Hotel Thursday rally in solidarity, we took on our turn of the sit-down, and then immediately on July 1, along with the fired workers of the Sejong Hotel, we marched on foot to Yongsan. The asphalt already looked as if they were pumping steam.
