International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners

When you’re a political prisoner, the cards are stacked against you in a very purposeful way by the carceral State. Prisoners who feel isolated from their families and friends, uncared for, and forgotten, are more easily demoralized and depoliticized. For these reasons, it means so much for supporters on the outside to show solidarity with incarcerated comrades by maintaining contact through letters, sending books, and raising funds for their commissary needs.

From June 11th

June 11, 2021 statement from John Paul Wootton

I suppose my story is far from usual. It begins as a teenager, not yet 18 years old and angry at socio-economic conditions within his community.Growing up in working-class Irish Republican areas, it was inevitable that I would be intensely exposed to that ideology and its propaganda. It claimed that all the ills in Irish society could be blamed on British state interference and that only an independent socialist state could offer a solution. The history, the romance, and the already strong presence in the community were hard to resist. I had found my answer.

Mending a Broken World

Milstein Chat on Coffee with Comrades Podcast

My friend and marvelous podcaster Pearson kindly invited me to join in “coffee” and conversation on the warm, wise, and ever-engaging @coffeewithcomrades, and the result is episode 132: Mending a Broken World. We recorded it just as #SaveJarrahSheikh and now #GazaUnderAttack were heating up, as the Israeli state and its allies sacrilegiously targeted the ancient holy place of Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan, and went on to raise the destruction and murder toll over Nakba Day and now beyond.
