‘The Mexican Question’ in the Cronaca Sovversiva

From The Transmetropolitan Review

The involvement of Italian anarchists in the Mexican Revolution of 1910 is a moment in history that remains obscure not just to contemporary anarchists, but also to academic historians. Beyond this, the actual history of the Mexican Revolution is insanely complex and refuses to fit neatly inside any ideological boxes, including anarchist ones.

Facets of Mayday

From Industrial Worker May Day has layers of meaning—some celebratory, others tragic—shaped across centuries. From its origins as a festival of spring and renewal, to its modern incarnation as International Workers’ Day, May Day reflects the aspirations and struggles of generations. It is a celebration of life beyond labor: time for ourselves, for our friends and families, for leisure, for imagination. It is both a remembrance and a call to action.

Italy renews 41bis regime against Alfredo Cospito

From Freedom News UK

Italian Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio has decided to renew 41bis for Alfredo Cospito. The measure, expected by 4 May, was notified to defence attorney Flavio Rossi Albertini and confirms the hardest possible line: no retreat, no review, no doubt. It is not a technicality. It is not administrative routine. It is a deliberate political choice that must be called by its name: revenge.

Netherlands: Rave for the Underground, May 2

From Rave Voor De Rafelranden

Like every year, we as Rave Voor De Rafelranden, stand up against the established society. For and with people who do not fit into it, and who do not want to. This demonstration is for the underground, the free thinkers, the activists and the makers. What was once ours has become unaffordable. We demand spaces to create, to play, to experiment and to exist. An Utrecht with space for everyone. We break through learned helplessness and together take back power over our own lives. We refuse to be reduced to consumers and spectators.
