A Response to “For an Anti-Sectarian Revolutionary Left: 10 Hypotheses”

This piece is part of an ongoing discussion within RED about revolutionary strategy. It responds to ED’s “For an Anti-Sectarian Revolutionary Left: 10 Hypotheses.” Like ED’s piece, it doesn’t speak for all of RED but instead hopes to help spark further debate and discussion in our group and outside it.

City Lab touts Technopolis as 100 Resilient Cities ends. "Machine learning" writes the scripts but cursive in schools makes a comeback. "Woman at War" film, resistance briefs. Some of My Past Political Mistakes

From Anarkismo by Wayne Price

Re-evaluating a 1985 Dialogue on Anarchism and Marxism

In the 1980s I participated in a "dialogue" about anarchism and Marxism. Re-reading my writing now, when I am a revolutionary anarchist, I think that much of what I wrote then was wrong--with one exception. I went over certain key issues, such as the strengths and weaknesses of Marxism, the state, the revolutionary party, election participation, and national liberation--topics which are still important for anarchists and other radicals to consider and debate.

TOTW: Just Anarchist

Not to go off on a rant but watching thread after thread on anarchist news treat whatever new piece of information as the foundation of a new hyphenated anarchism demonstrates a central problem to North American Anarchism. As if our desire for a world without coercion, politics (meaning representation), or commodification were not niche enough it seems further refinement is necessary... or not. But a quick trip through anarchist twitter shows a dozen flags and a tumblr-gender number of different anarchist splinters.
