Chichi is talking about michael smith who co-authored black flame, which is the book she's talking about.

Considering the litany of interesting anarchist and anarchist-adjacent writers t@l refuses to publish because they're not workerist enough, why the fuck are these even available? T@l collective is fine hosting nazis and deplatforming anarchs. Friends like these, Gary

Right on cue. Who are these "interesting anarchist... writers t@l refuses to publish because they're not workerist enough"? How do you know this? Sounds like you're just making this up.

T@L has had the Michael Schmidt conversation previously and it's not an easy one for sure. Parts of it have come down to this person being a formally well-known "anarchist" and author who was influential - the text Black Flame was considered by some to be one of the greatest anarchist texts ever [sic]. In my humble opinion the book was bad enough and extremely sectarian before everyone also found out that Schmidt is terrible. There are many authors on the library that anarchists disagree with and find terrible. It is an archive of all the anarchist texts. There is also nothing new from Schmidt posted after this information came out, just all their stuff that was already previously written.

"to publish because they're not workerist enough"

lol wat?

"T@l collective is fine hosting nazis and deplatforming anarchs."

LOL WAT!?

Go fuck yourself with these empty accusations. There's both plenty of non-workerist authors on T@L and I'd like to see your instances of Nazis getting published there, beyond Schmidt whose work predated his exposure as a White supremacist crazy.

You losers are fucking crazy

You're literally trying to create a single, centralized digitally curated archive where you decide what's anarchist and what's not and have blinders on for the rest. It's blatant

there are in fact multiple anarchist libraries. you can feel so free to go to other ones that suit you better.

any single resource is going to have parameters that don't work for everyone. lukcily you are not forced to deal with projects you don't like. you could even, !!!, create your own digital library.

course that takes more work than complaining online... <sob>

Tell me why of why... you believe T@L fans are BOTH losers and fucking crazy! I won't be holding my breath tho. Anyways I first asked you who are the Nazis on T@L and you failed to answer. T@L also doesn't claim hosting 100% of anarchist publications... it's mostly anarchist but also some authoritarian stuff that is relevant in some way to anarchists. And no, I've never seen an attempt at monopolizing anarchist libraries... it's just a site that I prefer more than our usual bread-booker library run by closet socialists.

Say you're provided with the LIST of NAMES you're asking for, then what? You UPDATE your WEBSITE and remove all traces of your total disconnection from offline anarchy so that you look totally LEGIT to anyone who may be using your project.

Say you're not provided that list. In this case, anarchists with the experience to see what's missing and what leftoid crap is being passed of as anarchy will continue seeing these glaring deficiencies, and you won't, there for keeping you posers exposed to all the real heads.

People I guess assume because anarchism became completely exoteric around 2016-2017 they're aren't still dark figures lurking in the shadows

Hello, I'm translationBOT and I will now translate the above comment into a TL;DR:

"When I wrote my original comment, what I really meant was that my favorite author is Murray Bookchin and I have posters of him all over my bedroom wall and kiss the one over my bed each night before I go to sleepy-poos. Also I'm actually an AI generated by Javier Seethness in collaboration with the Chinese government built to comment and to waste time on anarchist websites. My favorite NFL football team is the New England Patriots. kisses!"

The main author of Black Flame was Lucien van den Walt. Michael Schmidt had only a minor part in its writing. When it came out that Schmidt was hiding his support for the racist far-right (due in part to emotional difficulties), van den Walt repudiated him and broke with him, saying that Schmidt was contradicting all the values and programs which are raised in Black Flame.

In my opinion, such as it is, I still think that this book (mostly written by van den Walt, with Schmidt hiding his reactionary views) is an excellent overview of anarchism and the history of the anarchist movement. It is, of course, not perfect, but I think that every revolutionary anarchist can learn from it.

i agree with Chichi, this sort of (s)hit piece isn't worth engaging with. otoh, a good debunking is appreciated.

in that vein, the eugenics accusation is probably because Goldman promoted birth control. and around the same time, so did Margaret Sanger, who was in fact a eugenicist. but of course, as Chichi & DonnyFD point out, just because they worked on contraception in the same era doesn't mean they agreed with each other on each point.

learn history or life's a mystery!

Of course it's another false debate and a waste of time & energy, at most a ... Article was a shit piece and while it's good to debunk it online why are such ahit pieces getting so much attention?

Meant to write "at most a red herring"... But like the hosts are saying here, the author seems to be needing mental therapy of sorts. Some ppl got way too much time in their hands... that could be invested in their own well-being and self-development at least.
