10th ANARCHIST AND SUBVERSIVE BOOK FESTIVAL
MAY 14-15-16
PANTANASSA SQUARE
A self-managed space in every neighborhood, an anarchist publishing house and a festival in every city!
Organized by self-managed space, Αυτοδιαχειριζόμενος χώρος Επί τα Πρόσω
The self-managed space "on the front" was formed by anarchists who - to a greater or lesser extent - have coexisted for a long time in political processes, in social-class struggles and in other self-managed social centers, such as the occupation of Pararmatos which on August 5 was sealed by the repressive mechanisms together with the occupation of Marangopouleio and the occupation of N.Gyzi 33 - a self-managed TEI hangout. We are creating a space for meeting, developing activities and contact with those who have either walked together on the paths of struggle until today or will meet those who are waiting for us to cross them tomorrow... We seek to make it a stable point of reference for substantial communication, fermentation and collective self-education, the practice of critical thinking and living human creation, far from ephemeral encounters, bogged down in the stagnant waters of impasses generated by the imposed everyday life of individual competition, alienation and apathy... We promote the logic of unmediated communication, self-organized expression, equal participation and horizontality with the conviction that the way we struggle today has a direct relevance to the society we want to build tomorrow... We intend for it to be a springboard for unguarded intervention and action on a series of issues related to life ourselves and those around us and the effects that the choices and plans of political and economic bosses have on them... We have no illusions about embellishing and reforming the existing suffocating reality and we turn against the state, capital and their mechanisms, recognizing that they are the main ones responsible for the perpetuation of oppressive and exploitative relations that give rise to poverty and destitution, social and class inequalities and the plundering of the natural world. In short, in today's barbarity we do not aspire to create oases of freedom but we create a space open to any and everyone who wishes to resist, to produce denials and to seek affirmations in the arduous but beautiful process of social emancipation and the creation of a new world of equality, solidarity and freedom... For those who turn their backs on the world of the dominant and shape the conditions for social revolution, anarchy and libertarian communism.
