The 18th Salamanca Anarchist Book Fair will be held on August 14th and 15th, 2026.
Once again, there will be a space for debate, tables with publishers and distributors offering critical texts, books, pamphlets, fanzines, broadsides, and magazines. This first announcement is addressed to those who wish to attend, so we can confirm your attendance and answer any questions you may have. Please write to our email address: encuentrosalamanca@gmail.com.
Setting up a stall at the Salamanca Anarchist Book Fair is free of charge; in fact, we provide tables and chairs (as much as possible) which we set up and take down together with you: the attendees and supporters.
As usual, the fair will be held outdoors, in the shade, with a fountain and a park for the enjoyment of young people.
We encourage you to participate in this gathering of camaraderie and fellowship, a humble affair that, throughout all these editions, we strive to ensure that no one remains indifferent and that you receive the welcome you deserve.

Presentation of the book "La Zurramba", by its author Francisco J. Moreno.
Zurramba is a book of poems that champions freedom, mutual support, and care as ways of inhabiting the world.

Talk/debate «Access to culture», by El Feo (Filmoteca Maldita).
The Cursed Film Library is a renowned film channel created by "The Ugly One." It stands out for analyzing cult films, rarities, animation, and art-house cinema, moving away from mainstream releases.
"The Ugly One" was brought to trial for his work on a previous non-profit collective project called Zoowoman , a website that compiled links and digitally preserved out-of-print and hard-to-access films.

Bibliography and collective reflection on experiences of school failure and childhood suffering. Overcoming challenges through free and respectful educational projects, and an approach to this reality using agriculture and composting as a reference.

Presentation of the book "Jacinto Toryho: The Revolution Speaks!".
Published by "El Lokal," Toryho went from the Journalism School of El Debate to the editorship of the historic newspaper Solidaridad Obrera . The book will be presented by its author, José Miguel Fernández Barreira.
Remembering the fascinating figure and proposals of this outstanding CNT-FAI militant transports us to a past era full of idealists, a generation that imagined a world based on the parameters of common welfare, social justice and the defense of freedoms, when the logics of capital and power were about to be overthrown.

Recital and flamenco: «Verses from Intramuros».
Poetry recital by the author of the poetry collection Blue Birds , Santi Cobos , and interpreted with flamenco dance by Askoa Etxebarrieta «La Pulga» .
Initially, throughout the day on Saturday we will have the exhibition "The Pedagogical Revolution of Ferrer i Guardia" (Fundació Ferrer i Guardia).
LOCATION
ALL EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN PLAZA BARCELONA (opposite the Vialia train station). Except for the Libertarian Walk, which will take place on Friday in the town of Zamora.
The activities take place outdoors, in a shaded area and in a well-connected location (the same as in previous editions). This ensures the comfort of the participants and facilitates the dissemination of the exhibited materials.
There is also ample parking in the area for those arriving by car or bicycle.
Finally, the square has a children's playground so that the little ones can also enjoy themselves.
ACCOMMODATION
To all of you who are interested in participating in the Meeting and are coming from far away, we ask that you try to secure a suitable place to stay overnight in advance, as we do not have accommodation available.
The spirit has always been one of cultural, libertarian, and solidarity. Self-management is the way forward.
All collaboration is welcome.
The event is self-managed ; therefore, we do not receive subsidies from any institution, patron, or company. We do everything with our own resources; no one is paid to participate in the organization, as we are not seeking personal profit.
All cultural events held at the event are completely free and open to the public. This is our philosophy.
For self-financing, we have produced different materials: we have republished the book "Ideals and Reality in Russian Literature" by Piotr Kropotkin , which we highly recommend, and it helps to finance the fair.
We have also published other materials in previous editions: a DVD-USB compilation of historical libertarian press, t-shirts, bags, stickers, books, magazines, etc. You can find these materials during the fair, as well as in various bookstores and distribution points throughout the country.
