In the middle of January 2024 some anarchists blazed a mural of remembrance for Tortuguita. We stole the paint from a big box store and graffitied the mural on side of a train car.
Tortuguita valued the life of the Weelaunee Forest more than the death of a concrete training facility for police. Furthermore, Tortuguita was committed to act on this value against the dictates and decrees of State and Capital. For this Tortuguita was executed by armed agents of the so-called United States of America. We will not forget.
We dedicate our action to Tortuguita and to everyone who values the forest more than the police, those who take risk and take action against the State, to the friends we have lost, the ones who are still here, and to the ones we are yet to meet.
We claim this action anonymously. We obscured data identifying the specific train car that was graffitied and destroyed metadata from the photo we took. We transferred our report to the network using a tails/tor bowser combo. It is always a good day to attack the State. It is always the time to remember our friends.
Viva Tortuguita!
