truck with flockers

From Unravel

Since May some anarchists have been skulking around Minneapolis pulling down Flock cameras. For those who don't know these are the latest in AI enabled license plate reading technology. Anyone from your local racist homeowners association to the world's largest police departments can rent one of these to track any cars they want in real time – unless we destroy it first ;)

It is laughably easy once you've carefully planned your entrance and exit routes. There's lots of creative ways to do it but our favorite is taking apart the camera's pole with a T-27 security drill bit then putting it and its solar panel to bed with a hammer. We're having a lot of fun on our own but it would be even cooler if more of you joined in. If you're reading this get a couple friends together and take down one of these fuckers in your area.

Here's two resources to get you started, plus another if you've never done something like this before (open these in Tor ideally while running Tails). Be smart. Let's make a little dent in this nightmare world.

For the 10-15 years, cars sold in America have GPS tracking enabled that can be difficult to fully disable. It's easy for cops to get the GPS info. So, if you have a car made in the past 10-15 years and want to try to disable those flock cameras, don't drive to the vicinity of where those cameras are. Instead find another mode of transportation to get there.

There's a bunch of them in our general area it seems. There's like 20 of them on a road called "Liberty Road" lol. All the ones more specific to my location are in either neighborhoods or strip malls parking lots, They seem to do more than scan license plates and businesses use them also. I'm gonna go to one later this week to see how they're mounted onto the pole as not all of them are mounted on the manufactured supplied pole that utilize the t27 security drill bit, and to see where the other kinds of surviellance cameras are located.

Fun, fun, fun on the autobahn.

I won't give more than half a zero fucks about this shit for as long as bikes don't have license plates and aren't allowed on autobahns. And I can also drink and ride without getting a DUI. Aaaaaaand won't be murdering animals on their way to some venue. You... dumbfuck... carbrained normies. lol

call the person who made your bike a "bike brained normie". So obviously, you do care about the fact that bikes don't have license plate numbers.

For fuck sake, this above comment is so stupid. Imagine some completely anonymous person bragging about their superiority. Of course, the internet gives you the ability to very safely talk wonders about yourself. Cheers to charlie kirk and this anon!

There's also this:

"...murdering animals..."

Wow! So vegans trying to piss people off online still have the moral high ground in anarchyland. Congratulations! You have made a self-defeating post in multiple ways. It's not so different from the fact that random internet users are trying to get people to do revolutionary vandalism.

but hey, i guess if you surveil yourself, it's not real surveillance, correct? Let's add comment voting to anarchist news, so everyone knows who the superior anarchists are. Let's also record each user's assets so that we can fight the bourgeoisie. I personally think ramping up the ressentiment is the path to collective freedom, it's accelerationism!

You can get a DUI while riding a pedal bike while drinking or being drunk or high. Bicycles are classified as vehicles under DUI/DWI/OUI/OWI laws in practically every state in the US regardless of where you ride them. The Flock cameras do more than scan license plates. smh. They're primarily used for video surveillance and transmitting that data to the police. Neighborhoods use them instead of that neighborhood watch stuff. Businesses use them too. You're easily identifiable on your pedal bike regardless of pedal bikes not having license plate. At this point I have to ask. Are you simple like Simple Jack? You have to be. There's no other valid explanation that I can think of.

That's great that you give zero fucks about mass surveillance by having cameras everywhere because, for some bizarre reason, you think you're not identifiable on a bicycle because they don't have license plates. LOLwut? And because you think you can't get a DUI while riding your bicycle while boozing. I do find it weird you're on this site letting everyone know you have no issue with the state's use of mass surveillance via having cameras everywhere. It reads almost like you're in support of the state use of mass surveillance.

In what unfortunate over-regulated, over-policed shithole are you living!? Coz I never, ever seen that.

That's fucking stupid to be equating highway cams to tools of mass surveillance and repression, on the same ground than street CCTVs.

So I'll go through the basics for the car-brained idiots out there coz they appeared to have finally reached this site...

Driving is a *privilege*, not a natural right, damnit. You get authorized to drive a machine accordingly with some safety rules, because it's a dangerous machines. Coz at some point in history, after shitloads of car deaths over decades they had to apply regulations to driving these things.

It's not your beautiful ego butterfly or your collective polycular magma we're talking... it's a 1+ ton piece of metal on 4 wheels. that any idiot or weakling can easily push go at 150 kph just by pressing a pedal, once. It's not about FREEDUM but about driving a dangerous tool that consumes a lot of gas or electricity to get you anywhere... and has a well-documented potential for mass murder.

But being surveilled for walking on a sidewalk? Posting on Anews in a café? Being on the campus? That is a about people's personal bodies, activities, lives.

If it's just a matter of doing clandestine actions and you so badly need to use a car for these, then you may just do the old trick of car-swapping. Or get smarter and, for even cheaper than a decent car, purchase or steal a cargo e-bike (yeaaa, they exist now!), dress up like a normie mom or dad, so you'll be able to carry your stuff silently, stealthily, and without the need for a license plate and stops at the gas station (that usually got cameras too, dumbass).
