Olympia Info Night: The Struggle for Bodily Autonomy

The revoking of the Roe V. Wade decision is the latest act in a long struggle between bodily autonomy and state/religious domination over our bodies. Come learn about how this struggle has played out over the years, the major players aiming for total domination over our bodies and lives, how movements have fought in the past, and what the currently unfolding struggle looks like. Stick around for a collective discussion on how we can better engage in this fight, how to offer support to more deeply impacted places, and how this fight connects to other liberation struggles.

Jane’s Revenge – Night of Rage Communique

The night of June 24 was the Night of Rage. We decided to attack a crisis pregnancy center in Glendale, California with spray paint. The phrases written were “Jane was here”, “abort the court” , and “If abortions aren’t safe neither are you”. All across the country people protested and revolted against this attack on bodily autonomy.

Pro-abortion rally at state capitol turns into walking tour of local abortion opponents

Today the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. While nothing short of the total destruction of the United States of America will be enough to secure total and lasting bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom, we can’t possibly know what all it will take to achieve this devastation because we haven’t achieved it yet so we might as well try it all. With that in mind, some anarchists attended a rally at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia this evening. We came with low expectations (well, not everyone was pessimistic), fliers, banners, and a burning desire for more. We milled about, chatted, and handed out fliers while half-listening to people variously begging everyone to vote or making good points about the effects of this new ruling in Washington and who will be most criminalized by this new precedent.

Olympia: Attack on 4 anti-abortion churches

from Puget Sound Anarchists

submitted anonymously –

Last night we vandalized four anti-abortion churches in Olympia. All of these churches have ties to anti-abortion “crisis pregnancy centers,” religious fake clinics that manipulate mostly poor people into having & keeping children they don’t want or aren’t ready for and marrying whomever impregnated them whether or not that relationship is healthy or safe. Crisis pregnancy centers are exploitative and serve the aims of upholding the patriarchal family, a primary site of violence against women, queers, and children.
