Responding to the call for neighborhood anarchist assemblies, efforts were undertaken to organize an assembly at Roxhill Park. We spread the word through our personal networks and via flyering around our neck of the woods which in the age of digital organizing, left us uncertain of what to expect when the day arrived.
What is an anarchist assembly?
An assembly is simply a set place and time for anarchists to come together and discuss issues and ideas with other anarchists. The purpose is not to just form a larger organization, or any sort of decision-making body, but to provide an open forum to announce events, present projects, and find other people to organize with outside of the assembly space.

On May 25th, a hearing is scheduled at the Court of Cassation (Appeal) in Rome, for the "Scripta Manent" case, in which some anarchist comrades are being charged for association with crimes for the purposes of terrorism and provocation of massacres that carry heavy penalties. Among them is Alfredo Cospito, who has already served nine years for the wounding of Roberto Adinolfi, managing director of Ansaldo Nuclear. A few days before the hearing, our comrade was transferred to the 41 bis section of Terni prison. The 41 bis is under a regime of torture and annihilation, a hard prison justified with the fight against the Mafia.

After various attempts to break with the endogamy of our collectives, of trying and failing to move beyond merely interpreting the works of classical anarchists, we have decided to launch this call. Our objective is to meet others and exchange experiences, skills, ideas and dreams; to return anarchism to the streets and incorporate it into everyday life.
