This is a free gathering inviting interested people to Emberfield Heart Collective Ecovillage in La Plata, Missouri. It is hosted by people involved in The People's Project, a organization dedicated to facilitating living and educational opportunities for people practicing offgrid living skills, gardening, homesteading, and permaculture at intentional communities.

Emberfield is an offgrid ecovillage on a land trust in the Permaculture Mutual Aid Network, a network of lands, people, and intentional communities of which The Garden in Tennessee is also a part.

Anaculture is a method by which we can abolish the State and implement a gift economy based on self-determination, horizontality, mutual aid, and solidarity. One where people contribute what work they can, doing what they are passionate about, and share in the more mundane responsibilities of the community. As anarchist our understanding of freedom is that it is a process that people engage in together. We believe that rigid laws actually undermine our freedom, and therefore don’t aspire to the creation or worship of canonical texts.

Here in this part of the world, spring has almost arrived. Outside today the sun is shining, the air is the warmest it has been since the fall, with the overcast gloomy skies of winter breaking. This week, we’re taking a look into practical anarchy and asking how does your garden grow?
