“In the wake of a call-in campaign to get Malik out of solitary confinement (once again), something even more alarming happened. On Monday March 30th, 2026, a member of Malik’s support team realized they disappeared from the prison messaging app GettingOut. Similarly the inmate search database for the state of Oregon showed no record of them.

What follows is a report on the organizing context in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in light of the political repression surrounding, but not exclusive to, the Prairieland Defendants. This comes after we were asked to present on anti-ICE organizng in Chicago and DFW by comrades in the Zizania feminist squat in Athens. The Hunger Strike of Dimitris Koufontinas

Dimitris Koufontinas, who has been on hunger strike since the 8th of January, and whose health is now in critical condition, is facing his calculated extermination, a clear political choice made by the government of New Democracy. The state mechanisms, which have been investing on fascistization, brutal exploitation and the intensification of repression against any form of social resistance, attacking constantly the anarchist movement, are now carving a horrific reality on the body of the hunger striker.
