So, What the Hell is Post-Left Anarchism Anyway?

From CounterPunch by Nicky Reid

I have spent the better part of my life as a bomb-throwing, dyed-in-the-wool, radical leftist, and there was a time when I would have gladly laid down my own life for that cause, probably because there was a time when that cause quite literally saved my life. Growing up Queer and strange in a very small, spiritually abusive community, I didn’t have a whole lot to live for but the far-left, at least as I understood it, gave me something to fight for and gave me something to fight with.

Stalking The Nightmare of Control

Stalking The Nightmare of Control--Invecchiare Selvatico Reflects On War of Dreams: A Field Guide to DIY Psy-Ops by Jason Rodgers

Jason is no mere propagandist, that is a project for politics and power. Rodgers is a provocateur of the highest degree and a psychic warrior of great finesse. In their attempt to corrupt the perceptions and attitudes of individuals, groups, and powers, Jason’s psychological operations have no limits, but don’t expect the played out and obtuse knuckle-headed full-frontal attack! attack! attack! No, Rodgers is like a brilliant little termite, chewing away the rotting structures and shitting out the detritus for dreams to grow in as the mutherfucker crumbles from within. Chew!

OAK #6 IS NOW AVAILABLE!

It seems increasingly no one can hit the mark. The bull’s-eye. The previous era’s conceit of precision and accuracy has retreated to a swirling utopian formlessness.  Not a utopia where truth disappears but where it endlessly proliferates, and all arguments are arguments of absolute certainty.  My truth is true because its velocity is undeniable! Pathetic. Stupid. Ubiquitous....

There are a lot of ideas in here you may disagree with, and plenty that might make your blood boil and your heart race like you’re actually alive.  Maybe some of it will bore you.  Maybe some of it is an objective failure.  Maybe some of it is worthless, useless, fatalistic and despicable -- maybe we’re finally doing something right.

Or maybe some tender allusion to peace of mind jumps through the pages and you are left with the humble thought that in some extreme tendency of rejection you are not alone at all, simply lost from one another in an endless refraction of that little death called data.

‘Cause I See You

‘Cause I See You
Invecchiare Selvatico Reflects On
Invisible Generation: Rants, Polemics, and Critical Theory Against The Planetary Work Machine
by Jason Rodgers

It is rare in a world of posers, of fakes, of superficial trend surfers, of programed zombies, of reified rebels, of performative soldiers, of plastic identities, and such, to find someone who critically grapples with complexity and nuance and is not afraid to dip toes into the dangerous, a true free-spirit, an anarchist, or at least what that once meant before it all became so safe, so comfortable, so predictable, so non-anarchist. And when I am pleasantly surprised, usually by accident, that my paths come across one of these kindred spirits and their creative little explosions into the world, I am moved to respond. I begin to realize that I am not alone. There are others out there who are still alive, who have not been lobotomized and neutered by this displaced and dispirited post-modern techno-reality. I see you.

TOTW: Not anarchist

Topic of the Week – Here at Anarchist News, we sometimes receive article submissions that are not anarchist, don’t mention the anarchist word, and come from more of a leftist space. Often, these texts mention related words like “radical,” “anti-authoritarian,” “anti-capitalist,” “anti-state,” and “antifa” or talk about subjects that are of interest to anarchists, but not specifically by or about anarchists.

A Dagger of Feral Anarchy

by Flower Bomb

I remember once over-hearing a conversation in which there was a debate between using “post-left” or “anti-left” to describe anarchy beyond leftism. I thought this was an interesting conversation because it reminded me of how I once viewed and related to anarchy. I remember having viewed anarchy as a world to create, necessitating the organization of others to materialize it. Over time my relationship to anarchy shifted. Soon I found myself relating to anarchy as a sense of feral becoming – a personal revolt that placed emphasis on self – responsibility rather than co-dependence on others. This shift came from the understanding that people are not a singular mass herd of mindless followers but instead unique, complex individuals capable of independent thought, decisions, and actions. For me, anarchy beyond leftism abandons the idea that people are in need of organized leadership, and puts forward an understanding of how people discover their own power best when they’re governed, organized, or controlled the least.

Kill The God of Work & All His Clergy

From: https://raddle.me/wiki/anti-work

I'd say one of the most impactful components of anarchy through the ages, and especially in this current decade is anti-work - the idea of completely rejecting the notion of work. Though as old as civilization itself, anti-work ideas have been steadily regaining momentum in modern times, starting in small anarchist circles, and now taking off explosively in mainstream culture. Millions of people around the world have suddenly found themselves exposed to this very anarchist concept.
