From Anarchistické federace

Report from a scaled-down winter version of the anarchist book festival

Last year, the Anarchist Book Festival collective , in addition to its flagship event in May, also organized a smaller meeting in early December . This was met with enormous interest and there was almost no movement in the then-closing Prostor39. Since the idea of a “winter bookfair” was so popular, the collective decided to repeat it in 2024 and organized an “Anarchist Book Party” on Saturday, December 7.

Original title: [AW2024] About an Antimilitarist Meeting in Prague in May 2024, the Action Week

Since the beginning of the invasion/aggression of the Russian armed forces in the Ukraine – although the conflict there has not been going on since 2022, but since 2014 –many groups, parties, organizations, initiatives, individuals of the radical left of capital have, whether formally or informally and according to their position/theory/ideology, rallied to one of the warring parties and justified this war. This means to ideologically justify and defend the interests of one faction of capital.

About the Action Week and Anti-War Congress / Prague / May 20-26, 2024 /“Together against capitalist wars and capitalist peace.”

First brief attempt of balance sheet of an experience full of promises… but that turned out to be an organizational fiasco

Czechia: We will not be intimidated!

From Anarchistická federace
September 10, 2024

In June, two spaces - one closely associated with anti-authoritarian action, the other connected to it only by a single event (namely the Trhlina infoshop and the Žižkostel community centre) - received explicit threats of arson attack, accompanied by the throwing of objects and messages clearly indicating arsonist intent. The threats were then accompanied by an emailed list of conditions based partly on anti-Ukrainian fabrications, partly on (dogmatic) formulations so general that their fulfilment would mean the end of basically all of the activities of the victims.
