The Salish Sea Anarcha Network

From liberté ouvrière

Over the past year there has been something of a revival of anarcho-syndicalist theory and practice in so-called Canada... Closer to home, for me, has been the formation of the Salish Sea Anarcha Network (SSAN), which has brought together syndicalists across unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh (which make up the city of Vancouver); Katzie, Kwantlen and Semiahma (Surrey); and the Kwikwetlem Nations (Coquitlam) — which together make up so-called Metro Vancouver — with connections on Vancouver Island.

No More City: Second Issue

via It's Going Down

Announcing the second issue of anarchist publication No More Cities out of so-called Vancouver, Washington.
We are an anarchist publication based out of so-called Vancouver. We are are a collective of cats who live in the city because that’s where pals and projects are at. Meanwhile, we plug our ears through the constant car traffic and construction noise and breathe in asphalt fumes and car exhaust. We watch all of our favorite spaces disappear through gentrification and see fewer non-human animal friends every year. The city is life support. The city is death.

Climate Mobilizations in Vancouver

From From Embers

An interview with two anarchists from Vancouver about their efforts to intervene in the climate strike and extinction rebellion actions in that city. We talk about the context in Vancouver, their critique of Extinction Rebellion, black blocs, critical solidarity, and moving beyond hope and hopelessness. For the privacy of our guests, this interview was re-voiced by volunteers.
