Greece: December 6 – We don’t forget, we don’t forgive
15 years have passed since the night of December 6, 2008 when the murderous cop Korkoneas killed the anarchist student Alexandros Grigoropoulos with his colleague Saraliotis watching.
15 years since the night that shocked the whole society and led to a huge social uprising that exploded like a bomb across the country and lasted for months.
15 years since night-time stopped. The promises we made then remain open. They show us all that has been lost and all that needs to be done now.

If our lives are equivalent to a stolen vehicle or 20 euros of gasoline, it is our responsibility to make them worth it. With faith and determination to organize Direct Action Cells to concentrate the fighting revolutionary forces on a coherent strategy. The violence of the state is answered with violence. With clashes and roadblocks in the streets, with ambushes on police patrols, with incendiary barrages and armed attacks on the mercenary army of occupation of the Democracy. It is answered neither by protests nor by prayers.

Another state murderous attack, just one day before December 6, when cops murdered 15-year-old student Alexis Grigoropoulos. The 16-year-old Roma, Kostas Fragoulis, was shot in the head by cops over 20 euros of unpaid petrol. Our anger will drown you! Late in the evening of 6 December we caused material damage to the Piraeus Bank ATM in V.Konstantinou as a minimal expression of anger against the murdering state.
On Tuesday 5 July a rally was called against the release of Korkoneas. The meeting was called at 20.00 at the intersection of Messolongiou and Tzavella. The response of the people was quite large, and it was decided to hold a march through the streets of Exarchia. The pulse was strong from start to finish, and slogans were constantly shouted, with the aim of demonstrating that “justice” is clearly class-based: On the one hand, it releases the cop-killer of Alexandros, by decision of the Lamia Court of Appeal, the same court of appeal that on the other hand deprives the anarchist hunger striker from 23/5, Giannis Michailidis, of his freedom.

As of today, 6/12/2021, it has been 13 years since the Greek state murdered the anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos. Alexis was shot by two cops, E. Korkoneas and V. Saraliotis, in the neighbourhood of Exarcheia, following minor clashes with the police. As soon as the news of Alexis's murder broke, a spontaneous insurrection began. Protests, riots, expropriations and occupations of public buildings were but some of the collective expressions of rage. Despite the attempts of state and capital to depoliticise the murder, we must not forget that Alexis was killed because of his political beliefs - he challenged in practice the authority of the police and, by extension, that of the state.

Full title: Thessaloniki, Greece: Taking responsibility for an attack on a bank by Μητροπολιτική Ομάδα Καταστροφών [Metropolitan Catastrophes Group]
We take responsibility for the attack on the Eurobank bank in the centre of Thessaloniki on Friday night 3/12, because solidarity means attacking the State and capital. We are making it clear that we will not leave anyone alone in their hands, and we will continue to be on their side in the same terms of struggle and diversified action.
