The library is closing permanently due to the closure of The Field which has kindly hosted us since August 2023.
The last normal Touchpaper opening will be Tuesday 22nd April. After this we will not have a permanent place for the library or discussions (for the foreseeable future).

Imagine walking out of your local library with a tent, a telephoto lens for your camera, and the keys to an offroader. Or if camping isn’t your style, what if you could check out a breadmaker, a fancy teapot, and a few lawn chairs to host some friends for tea time? Or maybe you’re taking an extended trip to visit some family in a colder region and you could just borrow a winter jacket and a set of luggage?

In the summer of 2021, we launched a call for solidarity with young anarchists who were asking for books to set up a libertarian library in Haiti, the first in this country. Many people have responded positively by sending us books.
The Manuel González Prada Anarchist Social Center was inaugurated and opened on September 17, 2022. It's purpose is to structure and give life to a place of these characteristics since it is a large space with several rooms, where there will mainly be the Library "Emilio López" Newspaper Library, Video Library, and Historical Archive of anarchism in the Peruvian region.
Dear comrades,
in the last few days, we issued a statement to respond to the recent attacks on the Historical Archive of the Italian Anarchist Federation, http://www.asfai.info/ and all anarchist archives, made by the Italian government. With this newsletter we intend to also reach out to our international contacts. In addition, we take the opportunity to address the grotesque theorems on alleged relations between the mafia and the anarchist movement.
An anarchist library in South London…
Despite all appearances, London is not a seamless flow of merchandise, machines, and docile obedients.
It is a site of social conflict, waged by exploiters, managers – the benificiaries of a tightly monitored and supervised prison society – and the minority of the excluded – those among the raw material and the waste of the metropolis who refuse to resign themselves to that grim excuse for a life.
