I often find that when I’m trying to have conversations with other anarchists it seems that the more they think of anarchy as politics (by which I mean the practice of organizing society, it doesn’t necessarily have to be within the purview of a government, but certainly an attempt to codify relationships) the more likely they are to dismiss me and my ideas as too radical. I’m told my “solutions” don’t take problems seriously. But I am not in the business of proposing solutions. I’m in the business of trying to figure out how to be and live as though I am already a fully liberated person. For me anarchy is a beautiful idea.

The promised turning point is clearly coming much louder than many would have expected. Why do anarchists care who is in government, one might ask. In fact, the ruling order remains the same precisely because of the replacement of its political decision-makers. One thing is clear: the neoliberal-technocratic model of government is being replaced by the protectionist-nationalist model in this phase. And ironically, both are still sides of the same coin.
