From Return Fire

Original title: Open letter from Return Fire magazine to the 2024.03.29-31 International Anti-Prison / Anti-Repression Gathering

We welcome this initiative, and send our love and gratitude to all gathering in Brighton with the aim of together building a more durable and combative struggle against the authoritarian nightmare of the present-day. From the limits of our own capacity, we’d like to offer some thoughts; reflections that have been born from decades of shared struggle and over 10 years of publishing our magazines with a strong presence of anti-repression/anti-prison documentation and agitation.

Anarchist comrade Francisco Solar’s words in solidarity with Marcelo Villarroel

Marcelo Villarroel | write an anarchist prisoner today!

From Dark Nights, $hile

Solidarity is attack

It is not the fruit of a profound analysis that by striking with forcefulness and frequency, it is possible to bend the hand of Power. This has been demonstrated in multiple experiences of struggle in different territories and at different times.

The Local Kids: Issue 9

The Local Kids: Issue 9

From The Local Kids

All has changed yet everything remains the same. Several shocks have reverberated through society over the last years and changed our reality profoundly. At the same time, the monotony of daily life continues to impose itself relentlessly. Whether this observation is frightening or comforting speaks volumes about one’s perspective or mood.

Against Oblivion, Against Despair

Against Oblivion, Against Despair

From June 11th, International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners

Original title: "June 11, 2023: Against Oblivion, Against Despair"

Another year passes, and another June 11th is upon us. Once again we’re appreciating all that has unfolded in anarchist struggle over this period, both triumphs and hardships, outside the prison walls, and within. We’re appreciating the beauty in fighting back, and the strength that can be fostered when we refuse to succumb to both oblivion, and despair.

Alfredo Cospito: "I am ready to die"

From Organise Magazine

Although we have had political and tactical disagreements with him, we extend our solidarity to Cospito and any other anarchists languishing under such inhuman conditions. Here we publish his latest letter from prison.

A few simple words

Write an anarchist prisoner today!

from Publicación Refractario, English translation by Act for freedom now!

Statement from anarchist comrade prisoner Ignacio Avaca

There are many things I’d like to say to you and in my opinion words will always fall short to express the intensity and particularity of what I feel. I would like to thank each and every one of you without having to repeat “thank you”, but rather with a hand when you need it, with deeds, not letters. However, at this moment, perhaps the only action I have left is to continue resisting as I have done till now, together with my blood brother, and with the subversive brothers and sisters here in Rancagua, Santiago or any prison in the world.

“You’re an Anarchist, Mr. Zuniga”

via Mongoose Distro

by Comrade Z

Our nation was born in genocide. We are perhaps the only nation which tried as a matter of national policy to wipe out its indigenous population. Moreover, we elevated that tragic experience into a noble crusade. Indeed, even today we have not permitted ourselves to reject or feel remorse for this shameful episode.”

-Martin Luther King

‘I Am An Anarchist’: Remembering Anarchist Prisoner Brian McCarvill, who Died of COVID-19 in Prison on his 68th Birthday

By MG Belka

The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) does not publicly release the names of people who died from complications caused by COVID-19 while inside one of their prisons. They say this is because of the desire for transparency while respecting the privacy of the deceased. They reiterate this policy every time another prisoner dies.
