Unlike what was previously published, the account in support of the anarchist imprisoned for the “Scripta Manent” operation has changed further. Here are the coordinates of the account. We recall that five comrades (Nicola, Alfredo, Anna, Marco and Alessandro), in the sentence that concluded the trial of first instance, were convicted to sentences of between 20 and 5 years in prison, while 18 comrades were acquitted.
Hunger Striking Anarchist Prisoners in Italy
In this minisode special, Bursts spoke with an anarchist comrade in Rome about the hunger strike initiated on May 29th by Anna and Silvia, two anarchists rounded up in police actions (Anna in Operazione Scripta Manent and Silvia in Operazione Scintilla) and still facing trial for accusations of participating in direct action against the state and its borders. The hunger strike is against the solitary nature of their incarceration and it’s impacts on other prisoners.

A few minutes ago the first hearing regarding the occupation of corso Giulio 45 took place in the Court of Turin. SILVIA was present from behind a screen via videoconferencing and announced the beginning of a HUNGER STRIKE for herself and for ANNA both of whom are imprisoned in L’Aquila. The objective of this struggle is to fight against the conditions they currently face – comparable to those of the 41bis prison regime – and for the closure of the section where they are being held. They need ALL OUR STRENGTH. In the meantime the rally in front of the court continues:
On April 24, the Turin Court of Assizes issued the first instance sentence for the “Scripta Manent” trial (which followed the repressive operation in which five comrades were arrested on September 6, 2016, and two others received notification of pre-trial detention while they were already in prison for the attack against Roberto Adinolfi of May 7, 2012).
