From Chicago Anti Report

On May 1, 2024, a group of rabble rousers and freaks took part in an anarchist May Day parade that stormed through the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago. Before leaving Union Park, people danced around a May Pole in costumes, shared food, laughter and music and then hit the streets. The group of about 80 people was tailed by at least 30 squad cars as many people chanted, danced and re-decorated the highly gentrified neighborhood.

This action came together in the midst of four of Chicago’s big universities hosting occupations in support of Palestinian liberation as the Genocide continues.

Walking down Randolph street towards the original Haymarket Square, the group antagonized gentrifying zionists as they sipped their wine in the outdooor restaurants along the boulevards. The group brought noise and commotion to the Google building, Chase Bank, Starbucks and global headquarters of McDonalds — all four companies having known ties with Israel. The march culminated in a stand off with dozens of cops in front of McDonald’s Hamburger University, where some protestors were brutalized and arrested.

The cops continue to serve and protect the genocidal actions of the Israeli Occupation Forces and the US government while children die. But, a collective rage is bubbling and comrades all around the world are coming together to fight. Find your people, dance in the streets, create ruins and do everything you can to wreak havoc.

This action is dedicated to the Chicago anarchists, Haymarket Martyrs and all those who have lost their lives in Palestine.

"the group antagonized gentrifying zionists as they sipped their wine in the outdooor restaurants along the boulevards"

what the hell? what can this statement mean besides "rich jews"? or do we assume now any random yuppie must be pro-israel?

anon (not verified) Thu, 05/09/2024 - 09:12

Or they were zionists. Rich, poor, jewish or christian. And were antagonized like any racist ideology should be.

S'cuse me... how is Zionism racist, again? Israel's one of the most ethnically-diverse country in the region... even tho there was a growing influence of White supremacists lately. Or are you like making Jews into a race again, like the Nazis tried to do, and now the Israeli Far Right?

imagine being a dumbed-down nationalist and posting here being like "Hello, fellow anarchist kids!"

Reminds of those years when the UkWayne kept posting his nationalist drivel in the hope of Western anarchists sending funds -if not themselves- to the Ukrainian front. Member?

Not sure if you're agreeing with me and mis-threaded reply or ... brainworms? Yes Zionists are nationalists just like UkWayne and his NATOist cronies and have nothing to do with anarchy.

You okay, brah?

My point was more that the Pro-Palestine crowd are nearly the sane nationalists as your demonized Zionists. Both are equally byproducts of Euro imperialism in the region. Both are led by total fascists that aren't being denounced enough as the manipulative war-mongerers they are. You can't go against Israel as an anarchist by being for Palestine, and *anything* this means...

Anarchists would better be quicker at understanding how the real winners in politics are those who know how to play *both sides*. And yes there's something important to learn about it, even if you don't play the game. Like taking sides is for exploited, the "losers".

Hi, it's Wayne with time on his hands, so I will respond to these slanders and lies about me.
I never called on Western anarchists to send money to Ukrainian anarchists or anyone else, nor to go to Ukraine.
I am against nationalism (the statist program of the capitalists) but for national self-determination (the right of oppressed peoples to decide their own fate, without foreign states invading them)
While a humanist Jew, I have always been anti-Zionist, against Israel's oppression and dispossession of the Palestinians.
I support the national self-determination of the Palestinian people. But I am opposed to the reactionary-theocratic-capitalist program of the vile Hamas. I support the Palestinian people but not the specific organization Hamas.

anon (not verified) Thu, 05/09/2024 - 11:46

Cool. Will also be sitting here and waiting for reportbacks on the protest against Hamas, for their bombing of "their own" people including humanitarian corridors, and brainwashing & training young kids into child soldiers for decades.

Or maybe not. Got stuff to do for the next few centuries or so.

How aren't Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the fucking US, Poland, etc not also police states of the highest orders?

When the Palestine crowd going to protest the Iranian and the Saudi regimes, I'll get into this solidarity campaign.

I dunno... depends on what your criterias are. But if having the biggest prisoner per capita ratio. a militarized police force that kills civilians on a daily basis, cameras and tech surveillance grid all over the place and the FBI having programs to prey on the anarchists and other dissenters... I dunno what else do you need.

again, hate the U.S. for many reasons, no doubt, i guess think some perspective is needed if people don’t wanna sound like ignorant fools. are all the things mentioned true, yes, but if you think, for one, that dissent is treated more harshly here then let’s say half of the rest of the world, you are insane. try any of the even performative protests in, just off the top of my head, most of the middle east, africa, and asia, and half of south america…anyway, i think you get the point…same goes for a militarized police force and surveillance, but this doesn’t serve your narrative.

anon (not verified) Sat, 05/11/2024 - 08:42

You should google how AmeriKKKan police have treated "even performative" protesters in this country since the 60s. There are even pictures if you're struggling.

anon (not verified) Sat, 05/11/2024 - 08:56

In reply to by anon (not verified)

You may wanna ask someone like Eric King directly if "dissent" isn't treated as harshly than in those police states you didn't name... But what of the definition of dissent? Do you have an idea of how many people get felony charges in the US? It's all over place.

Then there's the pointless debate on what is worse between solitary confinement 23 hours a day in a tiny cell, and 20 inmates being stuck in a larger cell.

hi just wanted to pop in and say all zionists should die including zionist apologists.

have a great day...

...unless you're a zionist!

anon (not verified) Thu, 05/16/2024 - 07:58

In reply to by anon (not verified)

i also have had 99 percent conversations in which zionists are state-loving apologists for genocide. but there are people who want jews and muslims to be able to live together in peace on the same land, who might call themselves zionists out of a rejection of or confusion about what zionism has meant and mostly means now.

do you want only people who are actulaly zionists, according to your very binary definition, to die? or anyone who calls themself a zionist, even if what they mean by it is not about a nation-state at all?

and do you only want state-loving genocide-apologists to die if they're defending israel, or should all state-llving genocide apologists die?

and do i count as an apologist for asking these questions?

"but there are people who want jews and muslims to be able to live together in peace on the same land, who might call themselves zionists out of a rejection of or confusion about what zionism has meant and mostly means now. "

No, you are the one who's more confused about the meaning of Zionism. As for roughly a century it was mostly about diveristy and secularismz not ethno-national exclusivity based on religion, and for long the Zionists have had a significant portion of Mulsim and Arab people living together on their kibbutz, having their place in Israeli society to a point of even being in the IDF.

The rise of the Palestinian national liberation ideology in thr '60s, then the Far Right Israeli admins in the '70s have changed that, and brought an irreconciable conflict between two religious ethno-nationalisms.

It'd be nice of you not to dismiss the whole ultra-conservative and authortiarian politics of the "anti-zionist" side.

maybe instead of making a bunch of assertinos you cld post some references backing up your points. my understanding was that ben gurion was the initiator and coiner of zionism, and it was definitely meant to be a jewish-only state.

but i got this out of conversations, so prove me wrong, i guess.

Zionism dates back to the 1880s, there was a mass Palestinian uprising against Zionist (both British & soon-to-be-Israeli) rule in the 1930s that was preceded & followed by organizing along the same lines. Ben Gurion rose to a leadership position within the Zionist movement as all this started, but he didn't found it & arguably isn't even its most prominent ideologue.

The Zionist movement in Palestine definitely did always mean to make a Jewish-only state; the factions that didn't want that still subjugated & displaced Palestinians in practice, & mostly felt that a Jewish-majority or similar arrangement would work, as long as [European, white] Jewish supremacy was maintained within its borders. There were absolutely liberal-progressive & leftist, from socialist to committed communist, tendencies in the Zionist movement. They were not the first & certainly aren't the last manifestation of left-wing support for colonialism.

" all zionists should die including zionist apologists."

I assume that by "zionists" and "zionist apologists" you mean anyone who supports the existence of Israel. As you know, this includes the big majority of Jews in the U.S. It probably also includes most Jews who participate in pro-Palestinian protests.

So you are calling for the death of most U.S. Jews. I grant that they are wrong to support the existence of Israel. But your statement is a call for genocide, another Holocaust. To say that this is despicable and has no place among anarchists should be unnecessary.

In reply to by anon (not verified)

how will he find that out? do you assume all pro-palestinians are anti-zionist? if not, then how do you determine who is who?
it's easy to say in the abstract that anti-zionism is sometimes a cover label for anti-jewish sentiment, but it's not easy in practice to distinguish people using the same word.

anon (not verified) Fri, 05/17/2024 - 07:25

In reply to by anon (not verified)

"how will he find that out?" Pretty simple. By getting these brainwashed fanatics to talk about their views of Hitler. and the Shoah.

"it's easy to say in the abstract.." Oh no, not abstract. Plenty of attacks and gestures of violence have been carried against Jews and Jewish institutions outside of Israel since the Israeli response to the offensive by Hamas + Islamic Jihad. Just today, some fanatic moron was just killed over trying to burn a synagogue in France. These aren't attacks against Israel but on Jews and their communities. That's by-the-book antisemitism.

anon (not verified) Fri, 05/17/2024 - 07:33

In reply to by anon (not verified)

"easy to say in the abstract" means that it's easy to say those words. not that it isn't true in some cases.

and anti-jewish sentiment can be far more subtle than supporting hitler. but i guess if supporting hitler is the litmus test to use, then yes, that's pretty clear.

There are some of us WHO WANT ALL BELIEVERS IN ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS TO JUST DISSAPPEAR INTO A BLACK HOLE AND RE-EMERGE IN A PARALLEL FASCIST UNIVERSE MILLIONS OF LIGHT YEARS AWAY MMMKAY?!?!?!?!

You say you " WANT ALL BELIEVERS IN ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS TO JUST DISAPPEAR INTO A BLACK HOLE ." In other words, you want all Jews, all Christians, and all Muslims to die (you don't quite say "to be killed"). That's quite a lot of people. It includes not only fanatics and puritans and authoritarians but also Reconstructionist Jews, Quakers, Liberation Theology Christians, Sufi Muslims, etc. Damned if I know why you leave out Buddhists and Hindus. Apparently you are ok with fellow atheists and materialists, without considering that this includes Stalinist and Maoist mass murderers. *They* don't have to go into that black hole?

And here I thought anarchism was a belief in freedom!
