Portland Anarchist Zine Fair, Oct. 5

From Rose City Counter-Info

WHILE MISERY EXISTS, WE CHOOSE REBELLION

Everyone who has lived here knows that there are two Portlands: the Portland of the wealthy elite and their yuppie lackeys and the Portland of the poor, of the rabble. The architects of this misery are trying to ease the tension building on the fault line between these two cities using political games, counter-cultural branding, rainbow washing, and welfare “services” that amount to breadcrumbs laid in a mouse trap.

In Defense of One of Our Own

It’s almost quaint to declare permanent conflict with this society, with a world that sows domination in every corner. As long as it exists, conflict is guaranteed. And this world cannot exist without it’s strongest weapon: prison. The specter of punishment, the instrument of captivity, the ceaseless reformation of slavery. Until that realm is destroyed, freedom is meaningless. In our chosen struggles as anarchists, one of our tasks is to give real depth and content to our antagonisms.

Encounters with Anarchist Individualism: Bigger on the Inside

From Libertarian Labyrinth by Shawn P. Wilbur

After a rather lengthy delay, I’m settling down to some projects that I had initially intended to begin back in January. As it happens, all three of the tasks at the top of the pile — work on Proudhon’s Justice, an edition of E. Armand’s Anarchist Individualist Initiation and Sociology [Reconstructed], an anthology of the works of Lewis Masquerier — called for the careful comparison of multiple versions of the texts involved. It’s a variety of work that I really enjoy, “when the fit takes me,” but it doesn’t take me all the time.

Position of prisoner Giannis Karatsolis from malandrinou prison

From Act for Freedom Now! by Giannis Karatsolis - fokidas , Central Greece

After more than 2 years’ confinement, the time has come for me to take a stand. In fact, the need to publish this text arose from the first moment of my arrest, however, personal reasons from the nature of the initial charges that weighed on me to confinement itself, have been an obstacle.

New Zine - Avulsion: We Will Tear Us Apart

From Saguaros & Sabotage

Nihilism has been used like a weapon, but not by the people you think. Liberals say it’s the reason young people won’t vote. Fascists twist it into some void they can fill with violence. Even some anarchists flinch, like it’s contagious. But when they talk about nihilism, what they’re really doing is guarding their belief systems, all of them, right or left.

War At Ground Level: A Discussion About Experiencing the War in Ukraine

From It's Going Down

The war in Ukraine is often, like many conflicts, discussed through the lens of foreign policy and the interests of these entities that we call states. This is not the framing that we simply inherit from media, it is one that the Left globally has embraced just as thoroughly as liberals and conservatives. Discussions become echoes of the Cold War, where massive power blocks collide in some geopolitical game involving huge historical projects.

A Call for Anarchist Action in America

Full title: A Call for Anarchist Action in America: Occupy and Disrupt ICE facilities in Every City

Since many of us already know that there’s no safety in getting old, our anarchy doesn’t surrender to the walking corpse of time. Whether it’s 2011 or 2025, we continue to find ourselves oppressed by the same capitalism and the same statism, but with an advanced technological advantage weaponized by state power.
